A powerful tornado swept through southwestern France, hitting the village of Pomas with 117 km/h winds that injured 41 people and left 15 hospitalized. The severe storm ripped roofs off roughly 300 homes, prompting authorities to deploy over 120 emergency personnel and issue a widespread orange alert. Massive infrastructure disruptions quickly followed, leaving 2,800 households without electricity and causing heavy flight delays at major airports across Bordeaux, Marseille, and Paris.
