On Wednesday, the “Unity Day” has celebrated for the first time in Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted a celebration video message on his social media account on the occasion of the Unity Day. “The great people of the great country. Happy Unity Day. Today is an important day. We are all different, different ages and genders, from different cities, different languages and religions. But we are united by the desire to live in peace and happily. We have a right to it because we are at home, we are in Ukraine. No one can love Ukraine as much as we do. Only we can protect our home together. Happy Blue-yellow Unity Day,” Zelensky said in his statement.
On the other hand, Ukrainian President Zelensky had declared February 16, which is allegedly the date when Russia will attack Ukraine, as the Day of Unity with a decree he had signed, and made calls for celebration across country.
