Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy paid a visit to the civilians who had been injured in Russian army attacks at the hospital where they were being treated. “The Vlosenko family, who was under attack by the invaders during their evacuation from Vorsel, was protecting each other with their bodies as a shield,” Zelenskiy, who also met with the driver of US journalist Brent Reno, who was killed in Irpin, near the capital, Kyiv, said in a statement. “Territorial defense warrior, US journalist Brent Reno’s chauffeur, killed in Irpin, and brave Kyiv warriors All are united by one thing: Ukrainian love and faith’s unyielding power. I wish you a speedy recovery,” he said.
Student-led protesters in Serbia have blockaded state broadcasters RTS and RTV, demanding management overhaul or complete shutdown due to alleged biased reporting. Tents were set up outside buildings in Belgrade and Novi Sad, blocking entry and disrupting broadcasts. RTS called the blockade illegal, while RTV’s head labeled it “terrorism.”
The protests follow a deadly building collapse in Novi Sad that killed 15 people in November 2024. Despite government reshuffles and resignations, demonstrations persist. President Aleksandar Vucic dismissed the unrest as a failed “color revolution.”
