A wooden tribune collapsed during a bullfight at a stadium in the city of El Espinal in Colombia’s Tolima province. At least 4 people, including 2 women and a child, were killed in the incident, and 322 others were injured, local sources stated.
Gustavo Petro, the newly-elected President of Colombia, called on local governments to ban such events where people and animals die, and that similar incidents have happened before.
Tolima Governor Jose Ricardo Orozco stated that these activities are dangerous and cruel to animals and they will take action to ban them.
