Ezine stream in Turkey’s northern city of Kastanomu, Bozkurt overflowed again after heavy rain. Bridges collapsed and many houses and businesses were flooded due to the heavy rainfall, especially in the northern parts of Kastamonu. Due to the landslides, the Küre-İnebolu, Cide-Şenpazar road was closed to traffic. Before the expected heavy rain, Kastamonu Governorship deployed 410 personnel, 11 divers, 3 rescue boats and 318 machinery equipment to the northern parts. On the other hand, Bozkurt İliş village was flooded with flood waters. Citizens were rescued by boats.
On August 11, 2021, Ezine stream overflowed in Kaastamonu and 65 people died due to floods and landslides.
