Footage have emerged of the Tiltrotor MV-22 Osprey, which crashed while landing on the USS Green Bay amphibious landing craft on August 5, 2017, off the coast of Queensland, Australia. The footage of the accident, in which three US soldiers died, showed that the plane’s left engine collided with the deck while landing on the ship, causing the personnel in the landing zone to flee in panic.
According to the report released on May 21, 2018, as part of the investigation into the accident, it was determined that the aircraft crashed due to being exposed to too much downward current and not having enough propulsion to stay suspended in the air, and it was also suggested that the aircraft was carrying too much weight.
