Demonstrations were held in universities across Iran today to demand the release of the students who were arrested in the protests that started after Mahsa Amini’s death.

Students shouted slogans such as “Women, life, freedom”, “Everywhere in Iran, from Zahidan to Tehran, is covered in blood”, “We don’t want a government that kills children” while their banners read “Let the imprisoned students be released!”, “Universities will be boycotted as the students are suspended”.

Due to the arrests, threats and suspensions that students have been exposed to, Mashhad University students announced that they will not attend classes until an announcement.
