The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 63 Russian soldiers were killed in a missile attack carried out by Ukraine on a temporary base used by the Russian army in the city of Makiivka in the Donetsk region. Although 2 of 6 US-made HIMARS missiles were shot down by Russian air defense systems, 4 missiles hit the base, said the announcement.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian army claimed that 400 Russian soldiers were killed and 300 soldiers were injured in a missile attack on a building where Russian soldiers were stationed in Makiivka.
