Two earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye, caused destruction and damage to many buildings in the Iskenderun district of Hatay. The cruise ship Gemini, where oil exploration engineers were accommodated, was brought to Iskenderun Port in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO). With the coordination of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), earthquake survivors started to stay on the cruise ship. Together with 150 staff members, the ship can accommodate 1056 passengers in 400 cabins.
