Ancient mosaic unearthed in Israel

An ancient mosaic floor from the Byzantine era has been discovered in Israel. The mosaic floor was once part of an ancient church that stood near a path connecting the coastal region to the Judean Shephelah lowlands. The remains of agricultural facilities and buildings evident now indicate that the location once housed a Roman-era rural villa.
