Since May 9th, Israel has continued airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirming that they have hit 191 targets so far. The IDF reported that as of 8:00 pm local time, 803 rockets and mortar shells had been fired at Israel from Gaza. Of these, 620 hit Israeli territory, while 152 fell on Gaza. The IDF also reported that 179 rockets were intercepted by air defense systems, while some hit residential areas.
The attacks have resulted in the deaths of 30 people. One Israeli was killed and five were injured when a rocket struck a 4-story building in Rehovot, a city 20 kilometers south of Tel Aviv. The Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported that 29 Palestinians have died and 93 have been injured in the Israeli attacks.
