A 4.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in Adana, one of the cities affected by two devastating earthquakes in Türkiye on February 6 that killed thousands of people. Occurred at a depth of 6.67 kilometers at 15:46 local time, the jolt frightened the citizens. Citizens said that they threw themselves on the street after the shaking.

In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.
Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
