The colorful mansions in Turkey’s Afyonkarahisar province, most of which were built in the early 1900s, attract visitors this tourism season as well. Being made with special mortars consisting of straw, sand, and soil with the wood carving art of the Ottoman period in the vicinity of the historical Karahisar Castle, and painted in various colors during repair works carried out in recent years, the historical mansions offer colorful landscapes to their visitors.
