A man in Turkey takes photos of planets with his homemade telescopes

A space-enthusiast Şenol Şanlı from Bursa city of Tukey, successfully manufactured his own telescopes at home. He observes multiple planets every day and takes their photos with his own homemade telescopes. He measures the movements of the planets and their distance from the Earth moment by moment throughout the year, Şanlı also takes photos and videos of these moments. Meanwhile, he shares these photos with everyone via posting them on social media. Şanlı also shares all of his knowledge about telescopes to children at schools.

“I have been working with telescope construction and astro photography as an amateur for about 22 years. I make observations with the telescope that I made myself and I make observations for those who are curious. I’m sharing the knowledge that I learned, in symposiums at schools. There are 88 constellation on the sky and I observe all of them. I took 12 different photos of the full moon for 12 months. I gathered all of them in a single frame. I’m also observing planets. If you look west direction after the sun goes down, you can see Venus, Saturn and Jupiter planets pretty brightly,” Şanlı said while stating that he retired from textile sector.
