A retaining wall collapsed in Sultangazi in a matter of seconds

Rainfall that began yesterday morning in Istanbul has negatively impacted daily life in some areas. As rainwater accumulated in the area, cracking sounds were heard coming from the wall, and small pieces of stone began to fall. Shortly thereafter, a large section of the retaining wall gave way. A car parked in front of the wall was crushed by the falling concrete and stone debris, rendering it completely unusable. Fortunately, no one was in the vicinity at the time of the collapse, which prevented a potential tragedy.
