After the Israeli army’s withdrawal from Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip following a 4-month presence, extensive destruction was documented in the city. This withdrawal came after 185 days of ongoing attacks by Israel on Gaza. The aftermath revealed severe damage to buildings including mosques, hospitals, and schools, alongside significant infrastructural destruction such as destroyed roads. Hospitals like Nasser and El-Emel were targeted, resulting in damage to ambulances and medical equipment. Residents, who had fled due to the attacks, returned to search for belongings amidst the rubble of their homes. Palestinian authorities noted that while Israeli forces had withdrawn from the western part of Khan Younis, they maintained a presence in the eastern area.
