Israeli authorities conducted a raid on Al Jazeera’s Jerusalem office following a decision to cease its operations in Israel. The raid, involving Ministry of Communications inspectors, resulted in the seizure of Al Jazeera’s equipment. Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi posted images of the raid on social media.

This action follows a recent law in Israel permitting the banning of channels like Al Jazeera, citing national security concerns. The Israeli cabinet’s decision suspends Al Jazeera’s activities for 45 days, with the possibility of extension.
