The hostage crisis that began Tuesday when the separatist Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Pakistan hijacked a passenger train in the Bolan district of Balochistan province and took about 450 passengers captive has ended as all the passengers have been rescued and 33 attackers have been neutralized, according to the Pakistani army.
The BLA members, who demanded the release of their arrested members, killed 25 people, 21 of whom were civilians, in the attack.
