An international sports competition will be held for the first time in the Madagiz village in Karabakh

The Madagiz village in the Karabakh region will host an international sports competition for the first time after liberated from the Armenian occupation by Azerbaijan. The “Presidential Cup-2022” tournament will be held in the Madagiz village on the occasion of the 99th birthday of the former Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev. More than 100 athletes representing Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Moldova and Uzbekistan were greeted with applause by the local people at the official parade held in the Azerbaijani city of Mingachevir for the athletes who will participate in the tournament. The parade continued with the singing of the national anthem of Azerbaijan and ended after the national dances of Azerbaijan were exhibited. Meanwhile, the tournament will start on May 6 at the reservoir in the Madagiz village with canoe and kayak races, and will end on May 7 after the competitions to be held in Mingachevir.
