Sarıhacılar, a 15-household village in Akseki, Antalya, welcomed nearly 50,000 foreign tourists in the first half of the year. Known for its 800-year history and location on the Silk Road, the village features 300–400-year-old button houses, a historic mosque, and ancient cisterns.
Restoration efforts, supported by Türkiye’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and local residents, have revived many of the village’s damaged structures. Tourism guide Gürbüz Uçar said Sarıhacılar was once a key stop on the caravan route between Konya and Antalya, and its architecture reflects the region’s rich past.
