Antique Mosaics with 3D Patterns Found in Kayseri

Unique floor mosaics of an antique building, which is estimated to be a villa used by high-ranking administrators during the Roman and Byzantine periods after the 3rd century, were unearthed in the İncesu district of Türkiye’s Kayseri province. The three-dimensional form of the mosaics that are spread over an area of 650 square meters within the 3.5-period land of the building amazed the personnel at the excavation site. The mosaics, which also contain Greek and Latin texts on them, revealed how advanced the craftsmanship was during that period.
