Two died and 1 injured in ashooting at The Royal Thai Army College in Bangkok. Private police teams were dispatched around the school when the gunshots were heard. It was thought that the students may have carried out the attack, since many staff and teachers at the school went to a seminar held outside the city. However, it was later revealed that the attacker, who entered the office section of the school and randomly opened fire, was a 59-year-old officer Yongyut Mongkorkim.
Mongkorkim was caught by the police standing in front of the school while he was trying to escape from the scene without attracting attention. He was later learned to have mental health problems.
