“We don’t want to have problems with Turkey” Finland’s PM Marin said

Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin addressed the deputies at the European Parliament (EP) General Assembly in Strasbourg. Answering journalists’ questions about Turkey, Marin said, “We hope that all NATO members will carry out the voting and acceptance processes without delay. We do not want to have problems with Turkey. We hope that Finland’s NATO membership will also take place in Turkey without any problems.”

Marin, who gave open-ended answers about whether PKK-linked journalists would be handed over, said, “We do not talk about these issues as the government. Politicians do not decide on such matters. We adhere to the principles of the rule of law. The decision on whether to extradite or not rests with authorized state institutions and legal officials,” said.
