Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that his country will refrain from commenting on Israel’s recent decision to recognize the 1915 events as the Armenian genocide. Speaking to reporters following a meeting of his Civil Contract Party, the Prime Minister emphasized a desire to remain on the sidelines of the geopolitical development. He clarified that the Armenian government sees “no need to respond” to the move. Highlighting his administration’s cautious stance, Pashinyan stated, “We believe it is in Armenia’s interest to avoid becoming involved in the process of using this issue as a political weapon.”
