Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Harry escaped unhurt from assassination attempt while leaving church in the city of Gonaives, where he arrived for 218th anniversary of national independence, local sources reported. One person was killed, and several injured in the clash. The armed gang operating in the city had warned Henry not to come to the city, however the visit was made despite threats.
Former President Haitian president, Jovenel Moise, was shot dead on July 7 last year in assassination attempt at his private residence in the capital, Port Au Prince.
