Azerbaijan Warns of Ongoing Conflict with Armenia in Global Media

Speaking at the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, Azerbaijani Presidential Assistant Hikmet Hajiyev warned that while physical hostilities with Armenia have ceased, the conflict continues to be waged in the information sphere. He expressed concern over revanchist rhetoric and the narrative pushed by certain foreign outlets, stating, “Some international media outlets are trying to drag us back to the starting point of the conflict.” Hajiyev emphasized that in today’s digital landscape, the media has evolved from merely reporting events into a critical pillar of national resilience and international diplomacy. He cautioned that sustaining recent peace agreements relies just as heavily on responsible global communication as it does on traditional politics.
