BAE General meets Israeli counterpart for blue Flag military exercise in Israel

Major General Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al-Alawi, Commander of the UAE Air Force, has gone to Israel to participate in the Blue Flag military aviation exercise. Maj. Gen. Al-Alawi was greeted at Palmachim Air Base by the Commander of the Israeli Air Force, Major General Amikam Norkin. “I thank you, Alawi, Commander of the UAE Air Force, for coming to Israel. This is a historic and important day for cooperation between the two air forces.” Norkin said at the welcoming ceremony. Norkin and Alawi exchanged views on the cooperation between the two countries and the strengthening of the relationship between the air forces.

More than 70 aircraft of different models, including F-16, Mirage 2000 and Rafale, participate in the Blue Flag aviation exercise, which started on October 17 at Uvda Air Base in southern Israel. The USA, Germany, Italy, England, France, India and Greece participate in the exercise, while the UAE, Romania, Finland, South Korea, Australia, Japan, the Netherlands and Croatia participate as observers.
