A footage of bear fight recorded in the Cantabrian mountains of Spain, which is home to about 350 bears, went viral. According to forest officials, the mother bear started a fight to protect her cub from the male bear who came near them. The two bears fell off the cliff after fighting for seconds. While the male bear crashed into the rocks, the mother bear tried to find her cub. Veterinarians, environmental protection officers and other experts reached the mother bear and her cub after the incident, and determined that they were in good health. It was stated that the mother bear and her cub were observed with a camera in the cave they entered, and food and water were left in the area.

According to authorities, mother bears often have to defend their cubs against attacks by adult males during this season.
