The Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hadja Lahbib gave a speech at the opening of the “Global Threats” themed panel organized by the Royal Institute of International Relations Egmont in Brussels, touching upon the violence that war victim women and children are exposed to. Stating that women and children live under extreme conditions, especially in places such as Gaza and Ukraine, and that at least 15 women are sexually assaulted every day in Gaza, the minister called for a ceasefire and the release of war prisoners.
