Bilal Erdoğan, son of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, visited Damascus, Syria, where he met with Governor Mahir Mervan and performed Friday prayers at the Umayyad Mosque.
He was accompanied by Turkish officials, including Ambassador Burhan Köroğlu and former ministers Abdulhamit Gül, Mustafa Varank, Mehmet Kasapoğlu, and Fatih Dönmez. During his visit, he also paid respects at the tomb of Saladin Ayyubi and Turkish martyrs’ cemeteries.
