Briquette houses built in Syria increased refugee returns

The “briquette house” projects launched in safe areas in northern Syria with the financing of Turkey, Turkish Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) and international aid organizations in Syria continue at full speed. While the briquette house projects for the Syrians who are victims in the region and the Syrians who are refugees in various countries were completed one by one, the Syrians started to live in briquette houses. Life has also started in the Zuhara Briquette Houses Camp, which was completed near the Zuhara village of the Jarablus district in northern Syria. 4,500 Syrians began to live in the region where a total of 850 briquette houses are located, which were completed by Turkey, Turkish NGOs and international aid organizations. After the briquette houses were completed and under the control of Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), some Syrians in Turkey also returned to the region. Meanwhile, the briquette houses built in the area also increased refugee returns.

“I fled to Turkey after the war and lived in Sakarya for 3 years. Later, when a safe zone was created here and briquette houses were built, I returned to my homeland. I also call for the return of Syrians in Turkey and other countries,” Izzettin Hoka, a resident of the region, said in a statement.
