The Serik district of Antalya has been the most popular among campervan owners. The area, which is located on the beach of the Serik municipality in the Boazkent neighborhood of the Serik district, has been a popular stop for many campervans from Turkey and abroad. In their daily lives, campervan drivers who prefer the southern regions, particularly in winter, live in vehicles furnished with all kinds of equipment. To avoid being affected by the cold during winter, they can spend their vacations in vehicles that contain many household items, particularly the heating system. Many families rent out their homes and prefer the campervan lifestyle, both abroad and at home.
A Turkish couple and a Czech couple from Germany talked about their trip and why they chose to travel in campervans. One of the Turkish couples, Aycan Satrolu, stated, “We closed our house in Germany and moved here. We enjoy visiting the south of Turkey because it is warm. From now on, we intend to live in a campervan for 12 months of the year,” he said. “We went to Austria, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria by campervan with my wife and child. We’ve arrived in Turkey. The weather in my country is bitterly cold this time of year, but it is hot in Turkey, particularly here. There’s a beach in this area, and everything you need is close by, so it’s a good place to live” Jan Liskovec, a Czech tourist who visited Turkey on vacation, said.
