A man walking his dog in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, was attacked by 1 Cane Corso and 3 Pitbull dogs at around 10.16 local time on Wednesday. The dogs, which did not react to the shouts of the people nearby and the sirens of the police vehicle and continued to maul the person on the ground, started to run away when the police opened fire. The Cane Corso dog was shot to death at the scene and the 53-year-old man was hospitalized with wounds covering most of his body. His condition was reported to be stable.
The police officer who opened fire placed on administrative leave until the investigation initiated into the incident was completed.
