Cappadocia, a UNESCO World Heritage site, attracted 4.37 million visitors in 2024, according to Nevşehir Governor Ali Fidan. The region, famous for its fairy chimneys, underground cities, and hot air balloon tours, saw a significant rise in both domestic and international tourists.
Accommodation figures also increased, with overnight stays rising from 1.19 million in 2023 to 1.35 million in 2024, marking a 13.5% growth. The number of foreign tourists jumped from 650,000 to 850,000, a 30% increase.
Spain remained the top source of foreign visitors, followed by China, South Korea, Italy, and the USA. Governor Fidan expressed optimism for further growth in 2025.
