She emphasized the commitment to using all available tools to combat high and volatile inflation until a significant improvement in the inflation outlook is achieved, highlighting the importance of price stability for social welfare.

A devastating forest fire in Türkiye’s Bursa province reduced 100 hectares to ash, but one garden in Gürsu’s Karahıdır village remained untouched. Despite the destruction, Halil Kiraz’s 25-acre nectar orchard stood green and intact. Kiraz credited his drip irrigation system, firebreak road, regular maintenance, and almsgiving: “Everything turned to ash, but my garden remained green.”
The fire began on July 26, 2025, prompting the evacuation of 1,765 people. Now extinguished, the contrast of Kiraz’s green orchard amid scorched land has drawn widespread attention.
