Adıyaman’s chickpea fields near the Atatürk Dam in Kıvırcık village have turned a stunning red with blooming poppy flowers, captivating onlookers. The vibrant poppies, reminiscent of traditional Turkish wedding dresses, have painted the fields, obscuring the chickpeas beneath their vivid hue.
Visitors flock to the area, snapping numerous photos of the breathtaking scene. Seher Özer, a visitor who took photos in the poppy fields, described the view as “extremely beautiful” and encouraged others to experience it. She noted that such sights are rare in Adıyaman and that witnessing this natural beauty amidst the earthquake ruins brings a sense of renewed energy.
