A Chinese journalist Jennifer Zeng’s statements that a coup is being staged in China have confused social media users all over the world. Zeng shared footage of military vehicles and said “People’s Liberation Army military vehicles heading to Beijing on Sep 22. Starting from Huanlai County near Beijing & ending in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, entire procession as long as 80 KM. Meanwhile, rumor has it that Xi Jinping was under arrest after Chinese Communist Party seniors removed him as head of PLA”
The journalist’s claims on YouTube and Twitter that drew international attention didn’t receive any official confirmation. It was also seen that there was no extraordinary situation in Beijing, and everything looked normal.
Zeng then shared other posts saying that the rumor was based on the information gathered by Chinese Communist Party Chairman, Xie Wanjun.
