A 9-metre-tall Christmas tree in the garden of a church in the Pinotepa Nacional district of Mexico caught fire, causing panic among public and disruption in traffic. It was claimed that the tree, which turned to ash within minutes, was ignited by sparks coming from a firework.
It was criticized that the Pinotepa Nacional city fire department did not respond to the fire despite being located only 100 meters away from the incident.
