While the Russian army’s attacks on Ukraine continue, not all civilians have been evacuated yet in Mariupol, Ukraine. The Azov Battalion shared footage of Ukrainian civilians awaiting evacuation in the shelters of the Azovstal factory in Mariupol. In the footage, Ukrainian civilians called on world leaders to end the war as soon as possible.
A Ukrainian woman staying in the shelter of the Azovstal factory said in a statement that the city was destroyed and said, “I am calling on behalf of the citizens of Mariupol to the whole world. We want to live calmly in our own city, in our country. We are tired of bombings and air strikes. Please stop the aggression of Russia against my country. The whole city was destroyed. There is not a single point where life continues, they bombed every place.”
The Ukrainian woman, who called for help to the countries of the world, said, “The children who stay here are constantly crying, they want to play. Stop this war. I am calling out to the President of the USA. I beg the UK, Japan, France, Israel and Turkey. Please help us and set us free.”
