Copenhagen’s Light Festival Fun Run: 2,000 Runners Illuminate streets

In February, Copenhagen’s Light Festival took place with over 55 light installations illuminating the city. As part of the festival, around 2,000 runners participated in a fun run through the city center and along the harbor. Each runner was equipped with a four-meter-long chain of LED lights, creating a unique spectacle. The route covered eight to nine kilometers, and the runners had the chance to admire 21 of the light installations along the way.

The Copenhagen Light Festival is one of Europe’s biggest light festivals, attracting over 350,000 visitors annually. It provides a platform for artists to showcase their works in a creative and innovative way while promoting the city’s cultural and historical significance.
