Death toll rose to 11 after tropical cyclone Shaheen hit Oman. A police official said that 3 people were still missing. The cyclone is reportedly downgraded as it moves inlands.

Landslides triggered by heavy rain have killed 7 people and left at least 21 missing in southern China. In Guizhou province, 2 were confirmed dead and 19 are still unaccounted for in Qingyang village, where rescue efforts involving 400 personnel continue. Authorities issued alerts for nearby Hunan and Jiangxi provinces, warning of further landslide risks. Similar rainfall last week killed 7 in Guangdong and Guangxi.
