Czech Free Diver Sets New World Record for Unassisted Dive in Switzerland

David Vencl, a Czech free diver, set a new world record by diving 52.1 meters without a wetsuit and holding his breath. He accomplished this feat in Lake Sils, Switzerland, where the water temperature was 1 degree Celsius on the surface and 4 degrees Celsius at a depth of 50 meters. The dive lasted 1 minute and 54 seconds, and Vencl was accompanied by four people for safety until the final 15 meters.

He previously held the record for diving 50 meters and was taken to the hospital for bleeding from his mouth after this latest dive.
