The number of people who lost their lives in the flood and landslide disaster caused by torrential rains in Brazil’s Sao Paulo state rose to 57. Nearly 4,000 people left their homes due to flooding.

Sao Paulo state officials announced that search-and-rescue and road clearing works are continuing and heavy rains are expected in the region.
