Death toll from Hawaii wildfires rises to 106

The number of deaths caused by forest fires that started on the island of Maui in the state of Hawaii, the tourism paradise of the USA, on August 8 and almost completely destroyed the historical city of Lahaina. The island administration announced on a written statement that the number of people who lost their lives increased to 106. It was also stated that 1,300 people are still missing and that the death toll is likely to increase. Meanwhile, identification works on the bodies continue.

It is stated that in the deadliest forest fires in the last century in the history of the USA, US President Joe Biden will seek 12 billion dollars of funding from the congress to repair the damage in the state.
