The death toll from the Nalgae typhoon that hit the Philippines rose to 98, and 69 others were injured in floods and landslides caused by the heavy rains, authorities said. Search and rescue efforts for 63 people who died in floods and landslides continue.
According to reports, the typhoon caused approximately $13 million of material damage to the country’s infrastructure, with at least $7.5 million of it recorded in agricultural lands.
