Death Toll From Nepal Floods Hits 903

The death toll from catastrophic floods in Nepal, triggered when a Himalayan glacier collapsed into the Bhotekoshi River on August 26, has climbed to 903. The Nepal National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority reports that an alarming 4,247 people are still missing, including 592 foreign nationals, 933 hydroelectric plant workers, and 102 security and customs officials. Across central Nepal, authorities are struggling with the difficult task of identifying the recovered bodies.
