The death toll in the forest fires on Maui, one of the largest islands in the US state of Hawaii, rose to 111. More than a thousand people are still said to be missing. Hawaii Governor Josh Green stated that 27 percent of the disaster area was searched and that the death toll could increase significantly or even double in the next 10 days.
