Search and rescue efforts continue in Japan after the flood and landslide disaster caused by heavy rain last Saturday. With the death of one of the 23 people rescued so far in the city of Atami in Shizuoka province, the total number of deaths rose to 3. Around 1,500 Japan Self-Defense Forces (SDF), firefighters and police supported the efforts carried out to find 20 people who were missing.
