Death toll rises to 45 in Storm Nalgae in Philippines

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) stated that the number of people who lost their lives in the floods and landslides that occurred after the heavy rains caused by the Nalgae Storm in the south of the Philippines increased to 45. Most of the deaths were recorded in the province of Maguindanao, which is one of the regions most affected by the typhoon, and the search for the 14 missing persons is continuing.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) stated that the typhoon, reaching 95 kph speed, is moving towards the west-northwest direction at a speed of 30 kph. It was warned that the Nalgae Storm, which is expected to approach the capital Manila tonight, will also increase its effect around the central parts of the country.
