Death toll rises to 96 due to heat wave in India

The loss of life rose to 96 due to the heat wave that affected the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in India. In the state of Uttar Pradesh, the death toll increased to 54, and 300 people were admitted to the hospital due to high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, and heart ailments in the Ballia region over the last 3 days. In the state of Bihar, where 42 people have died in the last 2 days, more than 200 people were hospitalized in the capital, Patna, due to diarrhea and vomiting.

Meteorologists stated that the highest temperature recorded in Patna last Saturday was 44.7 degrees. High temperatures are expected to continue.
